Art Supplies for "Charity"

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching—a time that celebrates love, connection, and the bond between a mother and her child. For Charity, a survivor at the Poiema Safe House, this day carries a different kind of weight. Due to the trauma she has endured, she is currently separated from her child.

In the midst of this heartbreak, Charity has found a path toward healing through painting. Art has become her safe space—a way to process her story and hold onto hope. When she bravely escaped her perpetrators, she had to leave behind everything, including a collection of artwork that meant so much to her.

Today, we have an opportunity to come alongside Charity in a meaningful way. We are hoping to bless her with an easel, new paintbrushes, and canvases so she can begin rebuilding what was lost and continue her journey of healing.
